Our Indoor Cycling Class focuses on the mind body connection and the use of heart rate monitors, which we provide. Encouragement to listen to your body and watch your heart rate allows you to track your own progress and be directly involved in your own transformation.
Working to your abilities and backing off from the ride choreography (when needed) are hallmarks of our cycle program.
No one is encouraged to disregard their heart rate and/or body signals. That allows our Cycle Classes to be suitable for beginners and experienced riders alike.
Our heart rate monitors are ECG-accurate within one beat per minute and are coded so that only the rider’s heart rate is picked up and not their neighbor’s.
Perceived exertion alone is not accurate and tends to lead an individual into overtraining, injuries, frustration and lack of motivation to continue. At Mindful Movement Studio we encourage our students to only do the choreography of the class if you can keep your heart rate in it’s aerobic zone.
