Mindful Movement Studio is proud to annouce the addition of "Off the Ground!" Aerial Yoga, which was introduced to the community at the 2010 Girls' Night Out event in September. The class uses a hammock to explore different yoga, aerobatcis, dance and gymnastics moves while lengthening and decompressing the spine, all the while with a big smile on your face! It assists in conquering yoga positions that students feel they could not otherwise manage. Students are able to float in fabric hammocks that are suspended from the ceiling. "Off the Ground!" Aerial Yoga adds an entirely new repertoire to a workout as being in the allows the body to move in different angles than what can be achieved on the ground.
"Off the Ground!" Aerial Yoga classes are offered at Mindful Movement Studio and are appropriate for novices to experts. Aerial Yoga develops strength in your core, legs and upper body. Not only is it a great workout, but it brings fun into burning calories. The "Off the Ground!" Aerial Yoga curriculum has been created specificallly by and for Mindful Movement Studio. Classes are taught by our two Master Trainers Miriam Resnick and Paula Lord.
