Indoor Cycling
We added
intelligent cycling to our offerings because of the importance of
cardiovascular health. Anyone who is concerned about staying healthy
needs to work on the 4 components of optimum body health. The four
areas are nutrition, cardio training, weight bearing exercise and
stretching. At Mindful Movement Studio we can now help you with all
four areas.
For our
Cycling Program, we have 10 state of the art CycleOps bikes in
our Cycle Room. Everyone who participates uses a provided Heart
Rate Monitoring Watch and Heart Rate Transmitters which we provide
at no additional cost.

This way we can
keep you in a healthy heart rate zone of 60% - 80%. This healthy
zone facilitates the burning of available fat in your body. The body
is working efficiently and doesn’t feel like it is in survival mode.
Survival mode for the body is when your heart rate is over 80%. When
you have this kind of workload the body reserves it fat for survival
and doesn’t burn fat for your energy consumption. Have you been
working out and not losing weight? You may have been working too
hard; outside of your fat burning zone.
Many people
work out a lot and eat right, but can’t lose the last few stubborn
pounds or find themselves on a weight plateau. Working with less
intensity will solve the stagnation and the pounds of fat should
begin to melt away.

Classes are 45
min. in length.
We advise you to come 10 minutes early to set up your bike.
We provide your towel and Heart Rate Strap and Transmitter.
The strap part of the Heart Rate Monitor is available to purchase
for $10.00. (We do wash the straps after each use)
Bring you own water or water is available to purchase for $1.00.
New to
Cycling?
If you have
never taken cycling before, we strongly urge you to take the Cycle
Intro Class one time. It is 20 min. in length and can be taken
before either the Wednesday or Saturday morning cycling classes. We cover the bike
setup, heart rate reading and positions on the bike. There is no
charge for this class.
